In 1959, Jerome J. Szpondowski founded a general machine shop called Wyandotte Industries. With 24 years of fastener industry experience and the help and support of his two sons, Jerome grew Wyandotte Industries into a company that is renowned throughout the industry for its commitment to quality and service.
That commitment remains as solid today as it was back in 1959. Wyandotte Industries is still family-owned, with customers representing domestic and foreign O.E.M.s as well as many distributors. Our products are used for construction and agricultural equipment, heavy-duty on/off-road vehicles, air frame and aircraft parts, diesel engines and more. We remain dedicated to the same guiding principles upon which our company was founded, with an unwavering commitment to quality and dedication to progress. We know our customers are busy, and every moment counts. That’s why Wyandotte Industries makes it convenient for you to work with us, utilizing the current AIAG Standards for interfacing, releases and shipping data. Upon your request, barcoding can be provided on material being shipped, using the AIAG format for identification. We can also send and receive electronic documents through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

We ensure the quality of our products in a variety of ways. And it starts with our people. Wyandotte Industries personnel are highly trained professionals, including a number of Quality Assurance personnel. This special group of employees helps us to continually enhance our manufacturing processes. They understand their roles in ensuring customer satisfaction … and they’re committed to the continual improvement process and to meeting stringent quality objectives.

Our Quality Assurance personnel also use our state-of-the-art equipment to verify our products meet blueprint specifications, carefully monitoring factors like hardness, tensile strength, torque tension, and corrosion resistance.
We maintain our focus on quality with regular Quality Assurance meetings with our Quality Assurance personnel, production employees, and management.
Of course, Quality Assurance personnel aren’t the only people at Wyandotte Industries focused on quality. We believe the more employees we enlist in our drive for quality, the higher quality product we can deliver to you. So we involve all our employees in our quality monitoring process, creating a true multidisciplinary approach to quality. Our machine operators use specially developed process control charts, which have become an integral part of our manufacturing process. Our machine operators continually monitor our products throughout manufacturing to verify that measurements adhere to your blueprint specifications. In our total quality management system, all departments realize their objectives in meeting customer satisfaction. One example is our commitment to on-time delivery. In these days of just-in-time and short lead times, all departments must realize their tasks and how the way we work impacts our customers. That’s why all our employees work together to meet and exceed our customers’ needs, and we track our progress in our regular Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) meetings.
Our vigilant quality enforcement enables us to provide you with a better product. It also minimizes waste incurred through production errors, which means we can provide you with top-quality products at competitive prices. And it ensures you get the products you need exactly when you need them.

Manufacturing

Wyandotte Industries, Inc. has complete machine facilities equipped with six- and eight-spindle Acme-Gridley screw and Davenport machines. This equipment can produce parts out of bar stock in an unmatched range of sizes, from 11/32" hex to 4" hex, as well as square and round shapes, using carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, silicon and bronze.

Our Pellow nut slotters enable us to provide you with competitive pricing for slotted nut products, and our Reed thread roller assures quality O.D. threads on the special inner wheel nuts we produce.
To bring you cost-effective tooling and to maintain our own equipment, we have a complete tool room on-site.
Quality is easy to recognize, and that’s especially true with products from Wyandotte Industries. The gray insert in our nylon insert locknuts identifies Wyandotte Industries as the manufacturer and is registered with the Industrial Fastener Insitute (IFI) and is trademarked with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. Our manufacturing LOGO is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Industrial Fastener Institute (IFI). We stand behind our products, and upon your request, we will gladly furnish products with our LOGO clearly marked, to insure traceability.
